Welcome

Welcome to the FSCJ Honors Program Learning Community. Designed for students with a passion for learning and a history of academic excellence, the FSCJ Honors Program within the Associate in Arts degree, relaunched in Fall 2017, is distinguished by an emphasis on service learning and civic engagement. The program currently serves approximately 40 students on the Downtown and South Campuses, but its outreach via the Honors Symposium Series extends to all FSCJ students, faculty, and staff, as well as the greater Jacksonville community. Each year, the incoming honors students read a book selected by their IDH2001 Honors Seminar instructor. The themes of the book then inform that year’s Honors Class Project and Honors Symposium Series. This guide will help you explore the books selected for the program.
