In honor of this year’s Author Series title, Taking Flight, the Library and Learning Commons is offering a series of digital premieres of archival FSCJ dance performances leading up to danceWORKS’s 24th Annual Spring Dance Concert on February 19 and 20, 2021. Each show will debut on the LLC’s YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on Friday and run until 5 p.m. the following Thursday.
Founded in 1997, FSCJ's dance program has been taking the stage for its annual spring concert since 1998. In honor of this year's Author Series title,Taking Flight, and the 24th annual concert this month we're launching a new danceWORKS collection on the Digital Archive featuring posters and programs from the last decade.
The mission of the Ritz Theatre and Museum is to “research, record, and preserve the material and artistic culture of African American life in Northeast Florida and the African Diaspora, and present in an educational or entertaining format, the many facets that make up the historical and cultural legacy of this community.”
