The major program areas in the Adult Education at Florida State College at Jacksonville program include Adult High School, GED® Preparation: High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math and English language competency. Adult education programs also help adult learners gain the college and career readiness skills needed to enter and succeed in the workforce and/or postsecondary education.
