Author Hallie Rubenhold conducted extensive research for her book, *The Five*, which explores the murders committed by Jack the Ripper in Victorian London. We are excited to announce that Dr. Brad Biglow will discuss the social conditions of that era. Professor Biglow is an Anthropology professor at FSCJ, specializing in applied anthropology, Indigenous peoples, and archaeology. He is passionate about cultural preservation, living history, and historical archaeology. As a Sherlockian and published author of a Victorian Sherlock Holmes drama, Dr. Biglow is active in multiple Sherlock Holmes / Doylean societies focusing on the Victorian era.
Join us on Wednesday, March 5th, at 2 pm to learn more about the policing investigation methods in Victorian London, as well as the issues faced by the working classes and women during that time, which ultimately affected the five women murdered by Jack the Ripper.
