This assignment asks students to choose an African-American figure whose invention / discovery / creation indelibly marked our world. This guide provides a starting point for research, including useful databases, books, and journal articles.
Resource requirements:
For historical information (i.e. biographical works, historical context for the subject's achievements, etc.) materials from any time period is acceptable.
For contemporary information (i.e. discussion of the subject's impact on our current circumstances) materials must have been published within the last 10 years.
