LIT 2000: Introduction to Literature: Writing About Fiction
This guide is intended to assist FSCJ students in LIT 2000 with all of their research needs. The resources listed are both print and online and are designed to aid the user in locating works by specific authors, as well as literary criticism.
(EBSCO) - Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.
(Gale) - Gale Literature is an integrated research experience that brings together Gale’s premier literary databases. This unique digital environment allows researchers of all levels to find a starting point, search across a wide array of materials and points in time, and discover new ways to analyze information with literature resources online.
(EBSCO) - Literary Reference Center Plus is the definitive literary database covering all genres and timeframes. It includes thousands of full-text poems, short stories, synopses, critical essays, literary journals, reference books and author biographies, plus lesson plans and literary study guides. It gives students a complete foundation of literary reference works.
(ProQuest) - Literature Online is the leading online resource for the study and teaching of English and American literature. It is a fully integrated service that combines the texts of over 300,000 works of literature with huge resources of criticism and reference.
