Escape Rooms

This LibGuide offers useful background and setup information on using digital escape room games in an educational setting. Click through the tabs as needed.

According to Merriam-Webster, an escape room is a game in which participants confined to a room or other enclosed setting are given a set amount of time to find a way to escape (as by discovering hidden clues and solving a series of riddles or puzzles).

This LibGuide's primary focus is digital escape room games.  A digital escape room uses the same principles as a physical game, but all of the clues and puzzles are online. This feature makes them readily accessible, eliminates setup, and allows individual participation. Use this guide to learn more about using escape rooms in education, and to find resources to help you create your own escape rooms. You may also contact your FSCJ librarians for assistance.
