Our Medical Assisting Career Certificate (C.C.) will prepare you to do everything as a medical assistant from maintaining medical records, filing insurance claims and billing to taking medical histories, vital signs and assisting with exams. You’ll gain practical experience for a medical assisting job in local hospitals, doctor’s offices and clinics. In addition, you qualify to take the Registered Medical Assistant examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Clinical experiences in the medical assisting program will be provided in physicians' offices, ambulatory care centers, clinics and hospital outpatient clinics. Clinical rotations are scheduled in various clinical settings and are a required part of the medical assistant program of study to assist students to obtain hands-on experience in the medical field while learning in the student role.- FSCJ
