Project Description:
To support FSCJ’s OER AA Degree Pathway, the Library will provide a Course Reserve of customized, printed OER textbooks used in those courses. This would remove any barrier to the electronic version for students. Another barrier to the use of “open” textbooks is the misperception that they are of lesser quality than a commercial textbook. Our printed OER collection will also serve as a repository for faculty to review for textbook adoption. The FSCJ Library will customize these OER textbooks to include an appendix of library resources in each textbook to further assist students and faculty with their coursework.
