Bachelor's Degree and Related Programs

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Financial Services

This degree program provides foundational knowledge in financial education and business administration, with a specific focus on banking. It is a combination of finance/accounting courses and business courses. With a Bachelor's in Financial Services, you will be prepared to work in a variety of roles within the finance or banking industry--such as a loan officer, credit analyst, or financial manager--or pursue further studies in graduate school.

Related Degree Programs

The Northeast Florida FinTech Initiative provides new financial technology (“FinTech") training and certification opportunities in topics such as blockchain, mobile applications, machine learning and cloud-based data management. 

  • FinTech Advanced Technical Certificate (A.T.C.) – A standalone program for those who already have an A.S. degree or higher and designed to provide students with advanced technical skills, particularly in software applications and development, for entry-to-intermediate level employment in banking, financial services and FinTech-related positions. 
  • Financial Technology (FinTech) Technician Technical Certificate (T.C.) – The FinTech Technician certificate is in response to industry demand for students with more technology-based courses and is intended to provide a focus for students interested in FinTech-related occupations as well as preparation for several industry certification exams.
  • Banking Specialist - FinTech Technical Certificate (T.C.) – An introductory-level certificate designed to lead students on a FinTech career pathway or into the A.S. Accounting Technology program. Students will be prepared for entry-level customer service, billing clerk, teller and other positions in a banking business environment.

Databases & Journals

You can look for journals and trade magazines by subject or keyword using Journal Search or search within our databases for articles on your topic.

  1. Browse "Journals by category" using the Journal Search tab in Primo or the A-Z Journal and Magazine List on our Databases page.
    • Click on "Engineering and Applied Sciences" OR "Business" in the sidebar for a list of publications on that subject, or
    • Use the drop-down menu arrow and click on a sub-category, e.g. "Computer Science" or "Finance" for a narrowed list of titles. After choosing a title, you can search within that publication by topic or year. 
  2. Alternately, use the Journal Search tab and type a keyword in the title search bar, e.g. FinTech, to find journals on a specific subject.
