3 Simple Steps for Podcasting

Some basic equipment and software to start:

  • microphone
  • headphones
  • audio recording software: Audacity
  • Apple / Mac products: GarageBand
  • quiet place

We have this equipment available at some of the STEAM Labs.

Websites that provide useful information for getting started:

In addition, you will need audio recording/editing software. One suggestion is Audacity, a free, open-source application for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

If you have a Mac, iPhone or other iOS device, another option is GarageBand, which comes free with new Macs and iOS devices. Apple Support's page on GarageBand.
