The FSCJ LLC offers library and information literacy instruction to students through a number of modalities. These include classroom-based instruction sessions scheduled by teaching faculty, a credit-bearing course, a self-enrolling non-credit course, and both synchronous and asynchronous instruction and assistance through our LibGuides and LibChat service.
The number of instruction sessions given by FSCJ librarians continues to grow. While we did see a drop in the number of students and sessions during the 2022-23 academic year, we have increased significantly the number of course sections with embedded librarians. The number of students enrolling in the Research Skills Mini Course also continues to grow, so we know that more students are being exposed to information literacy concepts in a more integrated fashion.
For more information about each of these services, please see the sub-pages linked on the menu.
