Research Help

This guide is a tutorial covering the basics of the academic research process.

Databases

The FSCJ library also has access to many different individual databases that are focused on specific subject areas.

These databases are often the best place to locate scholarly/peer-reviewed articles. These databases have information from a variety of sources.

The FSCJ Library's research databases contain a wealth of resources such as, magazines, newspapers and streaming content, along with scholarly publications such as, professional literature, analytical articles, directory and statistical information, book chapters, essays, etc., typical of the wide variety of information available in an academic library.  Most of the databases contain the full text of articles.

The best way to locate a database on your topic is by browsing the "All Subjects" dropdown on the databases landing page.

Also, if you have a favorite database, you can always find it from the A-Z List of databases.
