DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
Wednesday Nights in the Fall Semester

"The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. You can also explore the world of Dungeons & Dragons through any of the novels written by its fantasy authors, as well as engaging board games and immersive video games. All of these stories are part of D&D."

From the Wikipedia entry "Cards Against Humanity is a party game in which players complete fill-in-the-blank statements using words or phrases typically deemed as offensive, risqué or politically incorrect printed on playing cards. It has been compared to the 1999 card game Apples to Apples[1] and originated from a Kickstarter campaign in 2011.[1] Its title refers to the phrase "crimes against humanity", reflecting its politically incorrect content.[2] "

DC Spyfall (Click title to see rules and videos)

In this exciting variation on the social deduction game Spyfall, 3-8 players take on the roles of DC's greatest Super Heroes as they have a secret meeting at an iconic location, such as the Batcave, Daily Planet, or the Fortress of Solitude. The problem? One of them is secretly The Joker in disguise! In the intense 8-minute rounds, the non-Joker players ask questions and give answers to deduce which one of them is the Clown Prince of Crime without giving away the location, while The Joker player tries to figure out the location before his or her identity is revealed!

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle (Click title to see rules and videos)

Description from the publisher: The forces of evil are threatening to overrun Hogwarts castle in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle, a cooperative deck-building game, and it's up to four students to ensure the safety of the school by defeating villains and consolidating their defenses. In the game, players take on the role of a Hogwarts student: Harry, Ron, Hermione or Neville, each with their own personal deck of cards that's used to acquire resources.

Pandemic (Click title to see rules and videos)

Four diseases have broken out in the world and it is up to a team of specialists in various fields to find cures for these diseases before mankind is wiped out. Players must work together, playing to their characters' strengths and planning their strategy of eradication before the diseases overwhelm the world with ever-increasing outbreaks. For example, the Operation Specialist can build research stations, which are needed to find cures for the diseases.

Powergrid (Click title to see rules and videos)

The objective of Power Grid is to supply the most cities with power when someone's network gains a predetermined size. In this new edition, players mark pre-existing routes between cities for connection, and then bid against each other to purchase the power plants that they use to power their cities.

However, as plants are purchased, newer, more efficient plants become available, so by merely purchasing, you're potentially allowing others access to superior equipment.

Additionally, players must acquire the raw materials (coal, oil, garbage, and uranium) needed to power said plants (except for the 'renewable' wind farm/solar plants, which require no fuel), making it a constant struggle to upgrade your plants for maximum efficiency while still retaining enough wealth to quickly expand your network to get the cheapest routes.

Unstable Unicorns (Click title to see rules video)

Description from the publisher:

Learn how unstable your friendships really are.

You start with a Baby Unicorn in your Stable. SO CUTE!

But don't get too attached, because even Baby Unicorns aren't safe in this game! There are over 20 Magical Unicorns to collect, and each has a special power. Build your Unicorn Army as fast as you can, or be destroyed by one of your so-called friends! Seek revenge or protect your stable using your Magic! Sound easy? Not so fast. Someone could have a Neigh Card (Get it? Neigh?) and send the game into MADNESS! The first person to complete their Unicorn Army shall hereafter be known as The Righteous Ruler of All Things Magical... at least until the next game. Good luck.

What Do You Meme? (Click title to see rules video)

From the publisher:

What Do You Meme? is a party card game for the social media generation. Each round, one player takes the role of judge and plays a photo card, after which everyone else plays a caption card to complete the meme. The judge decides the funniest pairing, and whoever played the winning caption card wins the round. Lather, rinse, and repeat.
