Why don't I see Monopoly here?
Our collection of games focuses on tabletop games that are commonly called Designer Games, EuroGames, or German Games. These games all have a few things in common: they have relatively simple rules and are easy to learn in one sitting, but also require a good deal of strategy. They have broad appeal for both novice players and hardcore gamers, they can be played rather quickly (most in less than an hour), and have excellent replay value since there are changing or random elements to the game play. No one gets knocked out of the game (as in many American style board games) so there is no one sitting around waiting for everyone else to finish. Win-win!
