About the Exhibit
The South Gallery exhibited new and selected works by Princess Simpson Rashid in November of 2020. The exhibit included early figurative works, abstract paintings inspired by concepts from math, science and musical compositions, as well as more recent abstract paintings and monotypes. The newest works on display included a series of large monotypes printed at FSCJ as part of an artist residency. Simpson worked with Professor Patrick Miko and his students to create richly layered prints that make use of a variety of techniques including monotype, serigraph and relief printing.
