How to Create Hold Requests (written by Phil Arroyo)

On behalf of patrons, you can locate items in Alma and create Hold Requests. Patrons will receive a notification by email when an item they requested is available to be picked up from the campus they selected.

Create Request

  1. Search for the item using the Physical Items search.
  2. On the right side of the item record click the ellipses to expand options
  3. Select Request
  4. In the REQUEST TYPE drop-down menu, select PATRON PHYSICAL ITEM REQUEST.
  5. Enter the Requestor’s ID Number
  6. Select the appropriate Pickup Location
  7. Submit the request to complete the process
