1. Sometimes you will come across item(s) a patron has looked at in the library but not checked out. We still want to record this usage through a process called Register in-house use. To do this, first make sure that your location in Alma is set to the correct Circulation Desk. On the right- hand side of the screen, click the down arrow which will bring up the Location drop-down menu. If you need to switch your location, click the down arrow next to the current location and scroll through the resulting list.
2. You will next click on the Fulfillment tab and then click on Scan In Items under the Resource Requests section.
3. In the Scan in Items tab, check the box next to Register in-house use and then scan the barcode number in the Scan item barcode field.
